Riding on the back of confident wins in their last two encounters against table toppers and second placed teams in the league stage of the inaugural season of Ultimate Kho Kho, Telugu Yoddhas – the GMR owned franchisee are now set to take the mats once again against Chennai Quick Guns in the eliminator game tomorrow. The result of this game will decide whom they face in Qualifier 2 of the league. Representing the Telugu region of the country, Telugu Yoddhas have smashed records after records creating history in the first-ever Ultimate Kho Kho and have been a treat to watch, not just for their fans but the Kho Kho fraternity as a whole. Telugu Yoddhas ended their league stage campaign in their style with 19 points to their kitty, the third highest after Gujarat Giants and Odisha Juggernauts, respectively.

The Eliminator between Telugu Yoddhas and Chennai Quick Guns will be broadcast LIVE & Exclusive on Sony Sports Network and will be LIVE streamed on the SonyLIV platform on 2nd September, 2022 (Friday) 7:30 PM onwards. 

Ahead of the match, Sumeet Bhatia, Head Coach, Telugu Yoddhas said, “We ended the league stage on a high, but the eliminator is a whole new season of its own, and there will be no place to make errors. Our only objective will be to give in our best performance and now take one game at a time.”

Both the teams have met twice in the ongoing season of Ultimate Kho Kho League where both the teams have won one game each. Statistically, Telugu Yoddhas are considered to be the stronger side, given their performance in last game along with the series of records they hold as a team viz; Highest Team Total Points, Team Attacking Points, Team Defending Points and Team All-Out Takens.

Deepak Madhav, Arun Gunki, Prateek Waikar, Rohan Shingade, Prajawal KH and Sachin Bhargo will have the responsibility and will lead the offence and defense department with an able support of each other and are expected to leave no stone unturned to seal their side berth for the Qualifier 2. While Chennai will ride on this match on the back of their attackers who have won some matches for their side.
