A team not only needs experience to win a high-intensity league such as the Pro Kabaddi League but a young, talented bunch as well. We, at UP Yoddha, have always believed that the youth are the future and our selectors have kept faith on those young guns who have shone so far in their Kabaddi careers.

The defenders’ contingent is the youngest in the Yoddha squad with an average age just over 21. Jeeva Kumar is the only defender to have appeared in all seasons of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) while three others have played in just a single season of PKL. However, their abilities and performances at domestic level has helped the management to believe that they, with the help of the experience of Jeeva, can form a strong wall of defense.

While we have many accomplished raiders, Bhanu Pratap Tomar, Azad Singh and Shrikant Jadhav complete the squad. Shrikant has already proven his mettle on the mat but we are confident that Azad and Bhanu’s hardwork will turn into fruitful seasons. Another youngster who is ready to rock in PKL 2018 is all-rounder Arkam Shaikh, who has been phenomenal in the domestic circuit of late.
