While for many players, the senior players from their native places were inspirations to take up Kabaddi, for Sulieman Kabir it must have been easy to get inspired – given it is the national sport of his country Bangladesh.

Now 25, Kabir’s first appearance on world stage of Kabaddi was in 2016, with the Kabaddi World Cup. Bangladesh were up against Republic of Korea, one of the giants of the game and were the favourites in the clash. However, Kabir gave Bangladesh a power-packed start with his raid which earned them 2 points and gave them a 6-0 lead. Though Bangladesh went on to lose the match by a close margin, his performance helped him being noticed.

This and many more made him a good buy at the auction, and our selectors drafted him in. Kabir continued delivering impressive performances at world-stage, the most recent being the one in the Kabaddi Masters 2018 where he gathered 5 raid points playing just one match.

With his international experience and skills, we believe Kabir will be one of the players to watch out for in his debut season of Pro Kabaddi League.
