A new season brings in some great and exciting announcements. U.P. Yoddha’s ProKabaddi pre-season press conference took place on the 16^th of July 2019, about a week before the first match of the season against Bengal Warriors.

The press-conference started off with the announcement of U.P. Yoddha’s captain for the 7^th edition of the ProKabaddi season. The first defender ever to reach 100 tackle points in a single season, Nitesh Kumar was named the captain for the season by U.P. Yoddha CEO Vinod Bisht. He was retained in the team under the new young players program, a very driven individual and leader on the mat, Nitesh will surely prove that he is worth the mantle this season.

Itel was introduced as U.P. Yoddha’s mobile partner for the season. A new and a great partnership in the making, the Yoddha camp is proud to be associated with Itel. 

The campaign for the season was revealed, #SaansRokSeenaThok - The campaign realises the importance of every breath in this amazing game called Kabaddi. One breath stands between winning and losing. One breath can transform a normal player into a Yoddha, which the franchise firmly believes.

U.P Yoddha CEO Vinod Bisht also announced the home ground for the season, U.P Yoddha are going to host the home leg at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida from the 5^th of October to the 11^th. He also added that the team is highly motivated to perform even better than they did last time around. Assistant Coach Arjun Singh added in the conference that the squad is very balanced for the season, inclusion of star raiders along with amazing defenders makes the core of the team even stronger. He firmly believes that Kabaddi is a team game and a single individual cannot decide the outcome of the team’s performance.

The press-conference was summed up after some interesting questions regarding the squad from the spectators at the event with the promise of an incredible display on the mat from U.P Yoddha in the ProKabaddi Season 7.
