The U.P. Yoddhas - owned by the GMR Group - ended their Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 campaign with a 4-6 tie-breaker loss to Tamil Thalaivas in the Eliminator match on December 13.

Despite the result, the Yoddhas did continue their tradition of reaching the playoffs stage of a PKL season since their debut in season five in 2017.

The likes of Pardeep Narwal, Surender Gill and Sumit showcased their absolute best on the mat for U.P. Yoddhas and helped the team register some key results in the recently-concluded tournament.

Most raid points

Pardeep Narwal accrued the most raid points for the franchise in the Pro Kabaddi Season 9. The record-breaker tallied 220 raid points, and became the first-ever player to amass 1,500-plus raid points in the competition.

Most Super Raids

Besides having the most raid points, Pardeep Narwal registered the most Super Raids (9) by a Yoddhas player in PKL 9.

Most tackle points

Sumit was undoubtedly the team’s best defender in Pro Kabaddi Season 9, having tallied the most tackle points (54) at an average of 2.57 tackle points per game. 

Most Super Tackles

Ashu Singh owns the record for the Super Tackles (6) in PKL 9. His tally is marginally better than that of Sumit, who registered five Super Tackles.

Most Super 10s

Pardeep Narwal scored the most Super 10s for U.P. Yoddhas in Pro Kabaddi Season 9. The star raider's 11 Super 10's consolidated his overall tally to 79 in PKL history.

Most High 5s

Sumit notched the most High 5s (3) for U.P. Yoddhas in PKL 9, with his best performance coming in PKL 6 where he registered a league-topping eight High 5s.
