Despite commendable performances, our Yoddha have failed to manage a victory at home turf in VIVO ProKabaddi 2018. On Thursday, UP Yoddha will get their final chance to impress their home crowd with a win as they face the Bengaluru Bulls at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater NOIDA. This is the second time we are facing the team from Karnataka, and this time, we have more confidence and experience going into it.

A quick look

Though victories have been hard to come by in our home leg, we have earned points through tied fixtures to keep ourselves towards the top positions. More than defeats, the matches have been learning experiences. However, Bengaluru Bulls are in a sublime form and beating them will be a tough task in hand.

Their defenders

The Bulls’ defense has not really shone as much as the exceptionally consistent raiding contingent and this can be our key to earn crucial points in the match. While the likes of Mahender Singh, Amit Sheoran and Raju Lal Choudhary will try to put the best foot forward, concern will be on the fitness of Shrikant Jadhav, who injured his head during a brave raid. Also, we would hope Prashanth Kumar Rai, who is out due to injury as well, to head back into the playing seven given his form. All eyes will be on Rishank Devadiga, our captain, who has bounced back with a Super 10 in our match against Bengal Warriors.

Their Raiders

Rohit Kumar, Kashiling Adake and Pawan Sehrawat form the nucleus of scoring for the Bulls. The three raiders have been immensely consistent throughout this season. We had managed to stop Sehrawat and Adake from scoring in bulk in our last encounter, something that we must repeat again on Thursday. We will as well have to think of some ploy to counter Rohit, who snatched away 14 points.

Story so far

With 28 points and 3 victories, we are the numero uno team in Zone B points table while the Bulls are closely following us at the second position with five wins and 26 points.
