UP Yoddha posted their consecutive victory, defeating the Telugu Titans at their home in Vizag. Our Yoddha dominated the home side thoroughly, with everyone contributing their bit towards a perfect finish.

UP Yoddha were off to a brilliant start with Prashanth Kumar Rai bagging two touch points. The Titans lost their review, too, in the same raid. The defenders joined the party, as Nitesh Kumar’s thigh hold got rid of Rahul Chaudhari in their Do-or-Die raid. However, the Titans’ defenders caught up soon to level the scores. With our three raiders out of the mat, the defenders held fort and with successive tackles, got us back in the lead. Nitesh kept dominating against Rahul Chaudhari.

However, a 2-point raid by Rahul got our opponents in the leading position right ahead of the end of first half. The score read 11-10 in favour of the Titans.

The second half, too, remained a low-scorer. Both sides pushed for the Do-or-Die raids. Our defense put up top-notch performance, not letting the raiders score. Shrikant continued with his intelligent raids, to maintain the lead. Though the Titans’ Super-Tackle reduced the lead, Sachin got two of the three Titans on the mat in his raid. Rahul Chaudhari came out for the next raid but was again tamed by Nitesh’s ankle hold – for the fourth time in the match.

Our raiders and defenders looked in a brilliant touch, making every opportunity count. It was a complete performance from both our departments, and every false step by the Titans was converted into points.

Though the Titans managed to gather few more points towards the end of the game, the lead was too much for them to cover and we ended with a 27-20 scoreline.

For his magnificent performance throughout the game, Prashanth received the VIVO Perfect Raider of the Match with eight points. Our most successful defender was Nitesh, who again registered a High-5 in this match. He received the Perfect Moment of the Match for tackling Rahul Chaudhari four times successfully.

With the victory, we climbed to the fifth position in the Zone B table.
