Tymal Mills has carved out a unique career as one of the pioneers of T20 specialist fast bowling. A left-arm quick blessed with genuine pace, he began his professional journey with Essex before a congenital back condition forced him to step away from first-class cricket. Rather than bringing his career to an end, the setback prompted Mills to reinvent himself as a white-ball specialist, a move that would make him one of the most sought-after death bowlers in franchise cricket.

After joining Sussex, Mills refined his craft by combining express pace with an array of slower balls, cutters and clever variations. His ability to deliver under pressure earned him an England T20I debut in 2016 and opportunities across the world's leading franchise leagues. Although injuries disrupted his international career, he returned to represent England at the 2021 T20 World Cup and was part of the squad that won the title in Australia the following year. Mills has since built an extensive franchise resume, representing teams in competitions around the world, including the IPL, BBL, SA20, ILT20 and CPL. In The Hundred, he spent five seasons with Southern Brave before joining the London Spirit.
