It’s a historic maiden Match-day at the Ultimate Kho Kho today. The league, which aims to revolutionize the indigenous sport of Kho Kho, kicks off with two of Southern India’s powerhouses, Telugu Yoddhas and Chennai Quick Guns battling each other in the second match of the opening night.
The six-team league will be held from 14th August to 4th September 2022 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Pune. The first-ever match of Ultimate Kho Kho will be played between Mumbai Khiladis and Gujarat Giants from 8 pm IST, followed by the Telugu Yoddhas’ match against Chennai Quick Guns. Telugu Yoddhas’ maiden season will witness Prajwal K. H. leading a strong squad of 22 players comprising stars like Pratik Waikar, Arun S.A., Rohan Shingade, Sudarshan, Bojjam Ranjith along with youngsters like Gavara Venkatesh, Sadananda Meitei, Deepak Madhav and Dhruv.
Before the league started, Pratik Waikar was announced as the vice-captain of the Telugu Yoddhas side and he shared a message for the fans, “Keep on supporting Telugu Yoddhas, we are here to entertain you”. With a promise like that, the maiden match of Telugu Yoddhas promises to be an action-packed game.
