Dubai Capitals, owned by the GMR Group, lost to MI Emirates by eight wickets in the Eliminator of ILT20 2023 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday, February 9.

Put to bat first, Dubai Capitals scored 28/1 within the Powerplay. Robin Uthappa was the batter dismissed by Trent Boult for six runs.

George Munsey's 43-ball 51 brought some confidence into the batting while stitching a 78-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Sikandar Raza. While the former was dismissed in the 13th over, Raza departed in the 17th over after hitting 38 runs off 34 balls.

Rovman Powell (30 runs in 22 balls) played a confident cameo as the Capitals posted 151/5 in 20 overs.
