Shayan Jahangir starred with a brilliant 99 as the Dubai Capitals edged past the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by nine runs in a tense DP World ILT20 Season 4 clash at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Reduced to 4/2 early, the Capitals recovered through a defining 115-run stand between Jahangir and Jordan Cox (29). Jahangir dominated the middle overs, striking 10 fours and five sixes, before late acceleration from Rovman Powell (38* off 24) lifted the Capitals to 196/5.

Defending the total, the Capitals struck regularly to stay in control. Waqar Salamkheil (3/34) and David Willey applied pressure, while Muhammad Jawadullah held his nerve to defend 26 in the final over, despite a late charge from Andre Russell (53* off 33).

The win marked the Capitals’ second victory of the season and underlined their composure in high-pressure moments.
